My sympathies, Jay. I know you said he was "just a dog" but, that's not true, is it. When we take on the responsibility of a critter (and not just a pet) we give over a wee bit of ourselves to them.

You've got it. None of our dogs have been "just" dogs. It does make it easier for people who have never had dogs, to understand.

Thanks Wayne, and yeah, it pretty much sucks, especially having a hand in it. We feel a little better knowing we spoiled the everlasting **** out of him. He had a very good (although short) life.
