I've always said a person can learn something new everyday. That's what we're all here for. And yes, I did realize that was not electrical conduit type material, but those fittings got the results I needed. I looked through the racks at two large big box stores, and conduit fittings would not get what I needed here. It is in a low traffic area of the shop, so didn't figure it woul be a problem, at least for me, and it isn't... If it were a commercial operation, yes, it would be inspected for code, and I would comply as needed. But it is not, and is is not subject to inspection. This is my "toy box".

If anything, I have a tendency to overbuild things, as in the case of the I-beam. I'll bet I've had 10 people ask, as above... "Why such a large beam..??" I actually wanted like a 12". Found new 15". And enough to do what I have there was right at $4,000.00. Way outta' my league. So, for a little cleanup work, and some paint, I figure I still saved $3200.00. That's money to spend on another items I yet need. That's also 2/3 of the amount for the shop floor.

I am leaving what was my dream shop, built in 1994. Got myself spolied, not turning back now..!! LOL...
