Didn't you see that Oprah show the other day when those people talked about this??

Yuck. I thought the Terms of Use Policy for TBN explicitly forbids the use of the word "Oprah" in any context. Rob, I suspect that you are now on 'double secret probation' here at TBN. You better watch your step! (And look what you made me do! Now I've gone and used the 'O' word so I'm probably in trouble too.)

I'm all for issuing everyone clubs and the last guy standing is the one who is right. Beats the heck out of watching O#%$* (I'm not going to say Oprah again....doh!!)

Guys... don't let Willie get hold of this thread... it'll be a hit C&W song in no time... tractors, hard luck, trumpets, guidance, confusion, certainty, uncertainty, Female side, manliness, O$#%^&*ah, belly burns, dealers, hugs, drugs (some like 'em, some don't) , labor costs, million dollar questions....

Oh have mercy!!! I need to copyright this thread and get rich:eek:

Uhm.............. Hello all. I stumbled into this thread believing someone's
L3400 was in trouble. Now evolution has taken us to prozac, hugs and...uhm....well...the "O" word. I'm so lost, I don't think I can find my way out to a different thread. Can someone help? Maybe draw me a map?

I promise if someone will let me out of here, I'll go stumble into the green room, or the red one or maybe even the..."ghast"...OTHER orange forums.

AAAAAHHHHHGGGG ! Can't believe I just said that.....this is turning into a two prozac day.

he he he

I sure wish ctpres would show us all a picture of his trumpets.

The OBVIOUS solution to this mess is for the OP to post a PICTURE of his cracked tractor. At that point the thread will be steered right back on course and we can put the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and the clubs away!

How about it OP? Time for show and tell.

I can't take credit for the orphans and nuns comment. That one has been kicked around in engineering circles for a while. IE.. when you are talking about designing something and liability comes into play.. the 'bus load of orphans and nuns' is always used to refer to 'wost case scenerio'.

As to hammers assertion of not knowing where the damage was.. it seemed pretty obvious from the original posts that the place the axle trumped bolted was the damaged part...that' almost universally the axle trumpet on most SCUT/CUT/UT type ag chassie tractors..

Well I guess you don't have to worry about the orphans sueing you if they all die huh. But the Nuns will take your --- downtown.

hehe, sorry the orphans comment was flopping around like a fish out of water, I had to kick it back in before it died. :D :D

before sounguy pointed out the obvious.

I was wondering when someone was going to bring that up.... IE.. the damage description and are, and rops involvement.. was pretty much obvious.. as tot he question of repair / replace...

Actually I borrowed that line from True Lies..and the show was really Sally Jessie Rafiel hehe. Should I bring up The View next?

The question here that gets me is how and why did this thing really break? Probably not doing that fast when mowing, but to crack the case? I'm gonna have to call that poor quality, poor design...or both.

And can we PLEASE call this thing something else besides a Trumpet???? My parts manual calls it a Case Rear Axle. And it anything it's more like a French Horn. No trumpets until you get to 50hp or so.

I could also go for some pics to.

Ok lets take a left on sanity lane... Not a trumpet, not a french horn, but definately a TUBA. Cmon don't you all see a Tuba, small opening HUGE horn.

OK your turn, we've gone from repair help, to Nuns, opra, Pozac, now Tubas, now it's your turn to take this thread in a wild and wacky direction.

I think this would be more of a Tuba!! :D Not an L... :D :D
