if you were in an accident: had your cell phone with you: could someone that was trying to help you, figure out who to call from your call list? take a little time and enter the number of who you want called In Case of Emergency: under I C E in your cell phone directory. it could save a lot of time and hassle.

Good idea. I also have a few duplicates like "Wife" in addition to her name (also useful if I can't remember if her name's Tammy or Jennifer :)) and another under "Emergency Contact".

I used to ride sportbikes, aka "crotchrockets". In my wallet, under the clear plastic window where you normally put your driver license, I had a typed piece of paper with the following info:

My wife's name
Our home number
Her cell number
I am insured with XXXXXXXXXXX
Blood type
No known allergies

I figured it'd be easier for the rescue team in case something ever happened. Fortunately, nothing ever did and I sold them before it happened...and eventually, it would have...they're just tooo darned fast!

Great idea though, I've never thought of that.

I'd hope they called 911 first. ;)

If the police have your I.D. they can usually figure out who you are, where you are employed, where you work, your house/apartment number, etc...

They can also get the owner of the cell phone number from the service provider.

That's a good idea, thanks for the tip. In case I should go up in flames I carry one of my old Army dog tag's with me for easy identification. :O

i agree, the police can eventually figure out who you are and who to call, but i figure this is a good way to "possibly" speed up that process during a time when some people "might" be a little excited: i do like the idea of adding the relationship after the ICE: ICE wife: etc etc. maybe add one "ICE dial a prayer"?
