I made a post yesterday referring everyone to a ASAE site for the Category I,II,III,IV standards. I checked the URL so I know it was working. I wanted to check a part of the std this morning and cannot find the post! Was it removed if so why.
Thanks,
Leo

The URL might have been correct, but it was posted incorrectly, i.e., you used the entire, huge, URL as the description which made your post extremely wide, which causes people to have to scroll left and right to see every post in the thread. You had also forgotton the closing {/URL}, so people could not just click on the link. Please repost your message.

Here's my standard message when this happens

MikePA: Cleaned up long URL. Please review your message before posting it. It's simple not to do this. Just insert a descriptive word or two between the {url=http://whatever}Enter words here{/url} instead of the entire URL. Replace parentheses with brackets in previous example.

When you click on the URL Instant Markup link there are 2 prompts, with instructions as follows;

1. Enter the complete URL for the link you wish to add.
2. Now enter the title of the webpage you wish to reference. For instance, if you are linking to the URL for Infopop, you might use the title, Infopop Homepage.

Mike,
That worked just great but the paper I wanted to share has a copyright so I with drew it rather than creat a problem! Thanks for your help.

Leo, you do not want to copy, post, or upload copyrighted material, but if it's on the Internet, there's nothing wrong with posting a link for others to get to it.

I know and if folks want more info than the Speeco Chart provides I will post the site. I just didn't want to get anyone in trouble with copying a copy right piece. Thanks
