It's a shell game. You can try and change the system like a little hamster running on a wheel, and I'm sure they will just laugh at you. It's not easy to drain the swamp yeah know.

I pay less than $400/yr for 1,200 SqFt or so on about 3 acres. House is paid for in full.

I'd have to be in pretty dire straits to not pay that to the point of losing it for taxes. Couple more years and I'll be eligible for a homestead exemption which will wipe most of that $400 out.

If you don't agree with a law, work to change it. If you don't like the actions of the people in office that are enforcing an actual law, work to change the law so they can't take those actions. Promoting physical violence against government employees enforcing laws that are on the books makes no sense. Change the laws.

You really think they would allow real change without going out of bounds? If so you much more Nieve than I had previously thought.

O .. M .. G !!! How deep did you have to dig to come up with that total gem of wisdom?

Moss, IMO this is more funny anymore than any of us have point to make. :confused3:

We're down practically to sniping back and forth at guys we admire/respect the most and really wish were closer to/neighbors with vs vaporous 'entities' on the internet.

btw, "I love you guys", no matter what my words might ever make you think. :) I'll also never apologize for my altruistic nature. I'm too busy acting out what y'all inspire me to do. Some call it a 'tithe', some call it 'karma', some call it 'paying it forward', I call it living up to the friends I've met here.

btw, just so you know, Richard and Moss, I still admire and respect you young brats. jon

It's has nothing to do with a dodge of the question. We all know the rules. Or we should know the rules. Play by the rules or suffer the consequences. Don't like the rules? Work for change. But we have to play by the rules of the game until the rules are changed. Does it suck? Sure! Do I like it? No! Are those the rules? Yes. He didn't follow the law and lost is arse.

That is a load of carp, you going along with socialist policy just because some socialist lawmakers duped the public and passed a bad law. You and everyone on here should outraged by the laws in that state. Unbelievable what is happening to this country with this oh-well-thats-the-way-it-is attitutude. Everyone should be pissed because this type of thing has a way of spreading from state to state as lawmakers take up new policy and with big city socialists on the rise they can carry elections for a state.

What seems like a huge waste to me is that the attics on so many new houses have no access. I get that a lot of houses use truss roofs these days, and there's not much usable space there, but it still seems like if nothing else it would be good storage space.
Not sure I'd want homeless people living there though...
I was in our state Capitol today with my wife and she pointed out two homeless people deficating in full public view. Those that want homeless in their attics should keep an eye out for stains on the ceiling.

Sorry, dude, those are mine. :confused3: Worry about yourself, not me.

Why? Consider giving back to society when good fortune smiles on you. Was that not your point? What is good for the goose is not good for the gander?

Interesting position that many lefty socialists have when it involves their own money. Someone else should always pay.

"Socialists" (and other labels in the heat of discussion):laughing::laughing: It seems they're divided between being compassionate toward the underprivileged and making them homeless for getting behind on a bill, never mind the reason.

What if governments confiscated cars and truck because lic/reg fees were delinquent, and how is that different?? If a community is on the verge of bankruptcy, there are lots of others to go after.

Btw, I suggest that whichever those tax/property seizures reported were or weren't absolute land grabs, they have no parallel to having a car repossessed, unless they were bought from the government.
