I thought about a small tractor mower like the BX when I bought my Ferris but when you get down to basics, the tractor is still rough mowing even with a good suspension seat. I mow about 6 acres in about an hour with lots of trees and shrub with my Ferris. It can mow at speeds up to 9.8 MPH when ground conditions allow and mows so close that I dont bother with weed eaters around the trees and shrubs. What little grass is left doesn't bother me or the plant and much less chance of whipping the bark off the shrub with a string trimmer.

You mow 6 acres in an hour?! That's amazing!!!!

That is amazing... I mow less than an acre and it take me around 1 hour. But I am only using old JD riding mower with a 30" cutting with. I like it though you can make some neat pattern cutting since the cut path is so narrow.

That is by the hour meter on the mower. I haven't really timed it with a stop watch, but it is pretty close to watch time. I can mow faster with my 52" mower than I can with my tractor and 7 foot bush hog. I guess the turning losses exceed the extra width gained with the 84" mower + mowing around a tree or other obstruction is really time consuming with my tractor.
If I didn't have so many trees to go around, I could do it in 3/4 of the time it takes now.

I just measured it out on google earth because I had been estimating it based on total acreage. IT measures out 759 feet x 407 feet. This measures to 7.091 acres but I have to deduct the size of the house, shop and pond so I think 5.5 to 6 acres is pretty close.

So I've been researching Zero Turn and tractor mowers for awhile now. I had decided on a ZD326 Kubota. Nice machine.

However... Everytime I visit the dealer... The BX tractors call to me. And the I think I should buy a B2620! Because it's better than the BX! So I'm I really stuck.

I will be finish mowing 7 acres a week. That's the machines main use. Property is mostly flat but does have a couple banks and a low area that can be wet at time (grassy ditch). Plenty of trees, sidewalks, gardens, etc.

I have a L3830 with loader. But I thought having a BX with loader would be mighty handy. And a backhoe would be even better! Lol! And a B2620 has a bigger loader and hoe! See where this goes?! Lol!

Here's some pics of the machines in question. I really like the looks of the BX with mower. It's just cool.

Any suggestions on what to get? Thank u!!!

Simple, just get the ZT AND a hoe for your L3830!

I have a Kioti 45 kubota BX 2200 and John Deer 757 ( 60 inch O turn ) . If I had to sell the 757 would go first , then the Kioti. BX is by far then best all around machine and with loader can do some jobs better than big Kioti. BX is a great mower just not as fast as O turn. Put a upgraded spring seat on mine and rides better with it than O turn.

My buddy has nearly same equipment as you and says the same thing! Loves his BX!

So you can mow as fast with your BX? How's the cut quality? Thanks for the info.

I mow my 6 1/2 acres with a 6'RFM behind my 3930 in about 3 hours. If you have more money than time, get the Zero. If more time than money, a good RFM is only around $2K. Plus, the Zero mowers require both hands all the time. I don't like going that long without a cup of coffee.
