around here i use my hpx rather than my car to go up and down the street. it's easier on gas and the a/c vent really blows good.lol mines an 04 and i have 508 hours on it. man you gotta put some ridin time on that thing!!!

However, the ride on the XUV more than makes up for it. The XUV is better starting, has more acceleration, easier steering, easier to get in at out of (a little taller), and has a power reserve at top end (you can hear it accelerate when going up a hill even at full throttle which makes me feel there is some uptapped speed there)..
Agreed
The ride speed and overall drivability of the xuv is excellent.
I like the diesel but chose the gas because of the enclosure.

This is my 3rd gator and they are getting lots better. My 06 hpx rode like a log wagon compared to the xuv.
This is by far the best gator to date.
I also have an 06 Yamaha Rhino, the xuv out performs the rhino in mud and in off camber situations~!

i found this video these guys are havin fun but i find it hard to believe the xuv can'y pull that mower.
That's not a mower. That's a compact tractor. I would expect it to pull about any utv on asphalt or hard pack.
It has the same engine as the 850D. It's a 3 cylinder yanmar diesel with a real low crawl gear. Excellent little tractors.
You can add a bucket, back hoe, full cab enclosure, belly mower and much more~!

yea but just on the weight and the tire grip it should have pulled that mower.it has to have the weight advantage over that mower they had to have that thing anchored in the ground .

I have seen this video, the JD one, and have had both machines. There are some things to keep in mind. The 595 is AMAZINGLY stout. I have told my fellow posters seemingly a million times on the JD forum that the 595 is among the strongest small tractors ever made. Mine pulled a stuck UPS truck out of a ditch on my driveway and would climb a tree. There is no trickery in this video. I believe the tractor pulled this well. The other thing to keep in mind is that the Gator has stock tires. I have the 27" ITP mudlites on mine and a smaller tire does not take advantage of the torque these small diesels produce. With the right tire, the XUV diesel is formidible. Interestingly, when ballasted the 595 weighes close to the XUV diesel. I believe operating weight for the XUV is 1532# and for a ballasted 595 (748 now) is 1482# with loaded tires and wheel weights.

It also appears the 595 had turf tires. The hydrostatic drive on the tractor is much stouter than the belt drive on the gator. Weight them both down with a half ton and see who pulls who on hardpack. :)

Comparing that to a mower is like comparing a Hummer to Jeep. It's not a mower. Watch this video and maybe you can tell the difference. No mower can do that. Tommy I thought you knew John Deere?Your a Murray man with a JD hat :p

the one with the front end loader looks bigger. the one in the video with the xuv looks small.
Same machine. Camera angle makes it appear small. They also have turf tires on. The one in the video is my brother. I've drove that little machine and it is powerful for the size~!
