What is the name of the distributor? I did not see in on the link. An address would be nice. They are probably in the air park in Ashland.

Bob,
Click on the web site link that I attached in my reply to NJbill. (reply #9) Then click on english info, then click on the sales network for the US. It will give you the address in Ashland and the phone #

Got it. I will try to go there in the next week or so. It can't hurt to try. I was thinking of just asking them what pumps they have supplied to Power Trac, and tell them why. Are there any better suggestions. Maybe take your pictures.

To Rivco, BobRip, and probably many others.

I would like to thank you for the effort, and interest all of you have shown in the identification of the P T designated Variable Volume Pump, which I have on my 2004 PT 422 serial #17520.
There are other units on my P T, as there are on yours wthout any means of identification, making it difficult to perform any serious repairs, or replacement without having to use Power trac.
However there are units on my P T, again as there are on yours, with a manufacturers ID label (usually Metal) giving us all the information required to perform repair, or replacement, possibly at competitive prices.

I can think of only one compound reason for these irregularities in business procedure. " They " are not a public Company, it is almost impossible to find any information about them. Your thousands of complaints, questions, etc., are never answered in a written form, which in effect leaves " Them " free of any legalities. ( That's why Terry is one of their greatest assets ) The fact that the only units with an ID, have on the label " Made in the USA " which almost indicates that the others, including possibly the origin of the Sheet Steel come from places outside the USA.

I think it would be safe to say that P T's are NOT " Made In The USA "
but are assembled, or put together, in the USA from domestic and imported materials.

Again thank all of you for your efforts in attempting to find this critical information. Some of you have already done this in the past, for which I have also been thankful on occasions where I needed help. Your tenacity reminds me when as a mechanic in a Phila dealership, if a difficult situation would arise, we would be anxiously waiting for the company rep, not for the company fix, but for the information he would bring from the mechanics way out in the PA boondocks, miles from civilization almost, they were like
yourselves, great guys

God bless the serious D I Y's.

Bill

It is quite possible that the steel plate is made overseas, but that does not mean the PT is "assembled of imported materials". Steel plate is a raw material, not a finished product to be bolted onto the PT. Welding something out of steel plate is not called "assembly", it is called "manufacturing". The finished product is "made in the USA", regardless of the source of the raw materials.

If all of the hydraulic components (as well as the motor) were imported products, the PT would still be 95% (by weight) manufactured in the USA, which definitely makes it more of a US product then almost anything else on the market (including all "domestic" built automobiles).

To saw the PT was "assembled in the USA" would mean that the steel frame, lifting arm, etc. were welded up overseas, and shipped to Tazewell, where they were bolted together, which is definitely not the case.

Huh??

Well, whatever the foregoing was about, I have been to Tazewell several times, and I have seen them welding up the PTs on the assembly line. They are made in the US of A, Virginia Branch, and that's a plain simple fact.

No. I have been very busy with Church Stuff. I thought that you had the information that you needed. Evidently not. I will shoot for next week if you still need it.

I went up to Ashland today and visited Bondioli & Pavesi. They do not sell retail and would not give me the part numbers (possible ethical question). They did state that they sell 5 different pumps to Power Trac and the sales man I talked to has visited them. They do have a distributor in Charlotte NC, but he felt they would need model numbers to be much help. Anyway there information is:
Hydradyne Hydraulics
Charlottel NC
Telephone 704-392-6185
Fax 704-393-8949

I hope this helps, but I doubt it.
