I started spreading topsoil today. I will be seeding rye grass tomorrow for Sunday's forecast rain.

If you think you can spare it, send a little of that rain up this direction. Nothing in the forecast for us.

Brandi, the pictures of the area really show how nice an idea your pond is. I really like the setting. Does most of the water flow in from the green, grassy rise in the background or from the foreground area in your last photo? Wherever the water flows from, you may need to put some rocks to keep erosion and silt to a minimum. By this spring, you'll know for sure.

Lookin' good Brandi.
That Rye grass around the pond is gonna set it off a lot. It'll make your whole place look different. You've made a lot of progress. Great work gal!

Weldingisfun,
If we get more than we need, I will send the rest to you.;) The weather guy said yesterday we are 3 inches behind for the year.....and yet, the pond water is getting deeper, creeping about a half inch a day.:D

Jim,
Thanks!:) The water will flow into it from the foreground. It was as green as the background, but it was my spoils piles staging area while digging with the backhoe and it was all seeded with 10 pounds of rye grass today.;)

That looks like a perfect place for a pond. I think when the grass is grown it will look like the pond was always there and you planted the trees around it.
