It's funny that the hisssy fits by celebrities, athletes, protestors, looters, rioters etc., etc... over the last four years seem to be forgotten by the misguided gloaters that are soon likely to be sorry they got what they wished for......!

I'm with ya. I truly do not remember my last bout with flu. I'll take a guess and say sometime in the 90s?

I gotta think that we who get out more when our resistance is high can be in contact without coming down with the latest bug(s). Between working in cars factories and eating leftovers off schoolkids' plates for decades I've always felt 'immunized' in a way by the exposure. When I caught something there seemed to be a point of my own brief weakness vs one of o'all exposure. How lucky we few are that never seem to catch what's going around.

Steppy makes a valuable contribution to this website and should not be banned.

Said without sarcasm , and I agree the above applies to all who post herein.

Richard, in frisky moments I've pondered putting a tease on you, but d__ed if I could ever spot ya with either foot in your mouth. If I don't always agree with your observations I admire you common sense and class.

btw, I also forgive you for the blatant & decadent strip-mining with MJ. :p

More vaccinations day by day... Moderna is what we have dispensed based on individual desire and risk pool.

Just about all of the Docs will be two weeks on the first come this Saturday... a lot of the front line nurses have also received the first dose.

I'm pretty low on the list with the option to request speedier availability.

From 4 am to noon I screen every person entering... patients, family member if applicable, medical staff, doctors, reps, inspectors and support staff for the surgery division...

Lots of roles have shifted and I'm getting 12 to 18 thousands steps each work day... even lost a belt size this year opposed to gaining one during the holidays.

The blessing is my unit is scheduled surgery so unlike are sister hospital with ER and trauma... we have a buffer from just anyone coming in... the lobby doors are actually locked.

There are no guarantees but those up close and intimate in the surgery theater and caring for patients pre and post-op don't have the discretion regarding distance...

Early on we enterprise wide rallied and pooled resources... the sister hospital asked how many N95 masks, sanitizer, gloves, etc... we had on hand and then came and picked it up...

Supply chain has caught up... we are still rationed but have what we need...

I do think the behind the scenes is what the public often doesn't see went amazingly well...

I sure look forward to the day when Eddie is back to 100% and appreciate his sharing as many have their personal experiences with Covid and TBN for the forum to exchange ideas from across the country and world.

Piney, a common misconception is of how many protests turned into riots or burning and looting. Lets not pretend that some were provoked by police using brute force or civilians by the truckload toting AR 15 firearms as if to ward off folks with cardboard signs was all about being a 'patriot'.

IMO, when the shooting starts, the looting starts, and only a sociopath would use the reverse as an excuse to fulfill some fantasy of shooting a 'bad guy' as if a lawful judge and jury. White guy walks down the street in camo and fully armed is a 'hero', 10 YO POC kid with a plastic pistol is gunned downed and no first aid given because the toy might have been real. Wasp LEO gets off because he guessed wrong.

While we're watching the sky fall piece by socialist piece, where is a list of protests that actually turned to burning and looting? Seeing the same footage of one event for weeks doesn't add up until somebody shows those numbers down to to whatever accuracy covid death-counts can be trusted.

Police were instructed to preemptively tear gas crowds so that POTUS could wave a Bible for a photo op before someone could tell him he held it upside down. Do we no longer trust the gov't or the media and only LEOs with armored cars just 'following orders' from either of them?

Hey ranch ...two words...

Love ya!

Brother, we can disagree on anything or everything, (BTDT, haven't we? :)) but it's just words and I won't let them come between us as grown men.

IMO, this whole bit is a dabbling we'll look back on in years to come. I'm praying that you'll be one who'll still be around and be yourself as always. :drink:

To quote a favorite TV character of long ago (Greg Germann as Richard Fish in "Ally McBeal"):

"Bygones."

Easily understood between 'real men'. btw, I hope to be one when I grow up.

"Diff'rent streaks for diff'rent freaks, Baby!" ;)
