Does the Lincoln have a way to lock the trigger off? Sort of like a safety.

The one I have doesn't and if I happen to pick it up wrong, it immediately starts pumping grease everywhere.

Nope; but unlike a caulking gun, my Lincoln stops pumping grease as soon as you let off the trigger.

Here's a few threads from over at Heavy Equipment Forums. These guys make a living running equipment and keeping it running. I've been thinking about an electric grease gun myself and was just reading these threads on what to buy.

I'm still unsure what to buy, if anything. I've got it down pretty good with two hand held grease guns. One with a fixed tube for most of my greasing, the other with a flexible tube for those hard to reach spots. I tried several air grease guns, but they all fail after awhile and I spend so much time messing with them, then dealing with the hose and fighting with it while greasing that I finally gave up on air grease guns all together. Cordless might be a good option, but I'm still unsure.

4 years ago I bought this air-powered grease gun from Sears as I expected many grease fittings on the new tractor/FEL/BH. It has worked flawlessly and makes the job so much easier. I use it on the tractor, my cars, trailer, snowmobile's, atv's, etc... It gets plenty of use and still works great. I paid $40 for it back in the day and now it's only $30. The main difference between this one and some more expensive units is that this one is a single-shot gun vs automatic, what that means is that it only pumps grease once for each time you squeeze the trigger vs just holding the trigger continuously. I prefer the single shot unit since it's too easy to over-grease and waste with the automatics, plus the automatics tend to put too much pressure on the seals and can damage them when used on small applications.

The flexible hose makes it easy to get to hard zerks and the tip as never been stuck on one while it holds good enough so I don't need to hold it on.

Great deal. I just put a bid on one on ebay - it is a 14.4V. Lets see how it goes.
