I hate my grease gun right now

I admit I haven't read all the posts in this thread, so don't know if this has already been mentioned. Anyhoo, after installing a new cartridge in your grease gun, hold it by the metal tube with the pump end down and smack it up with a rubber mallet about 10 times (being sure not to hit the linkage). This will move the air bubble up to the plunger and flood the pump area with grease. Saves a lot of burping, farting and wasted grease.
Ima going to try that!
Thanks

About the second time I greased my new tractor, and myself, the wife found me a pair of coveralls and hung them in my shop with a note attached. "Do not bring these into the house!" :talktothehand:

my wife one time went out to the shop and drug in my work pants.. the ones I use when doing oil changes and greasing.

near ruined the washer.. ;)

had to go buy some junk towels and run 3-4 loads of hot water / high detergent and bleach thru till it was safe to put clothes in again.. ;)

If grease guns came with wi-fi, 2 hdmi ports, an app for i-tunes any kid 5yrs or old could help you out.
every time I encountered a problem with one of my guns loading, it was the bottom end of the cardboard tube without the aluminum seal.
If there is any distortion in the cardboard the rubber plunger will not slide into the tube .
to repair the tube you can use a razor blade and trim off a small amount so there is no distortion for the rubber plunger to fight against.

Not reading the whole thread but the way I reload with no air lock issues iss remove the old tube slide the new one in and thread thread the cartridge on the fun, but not fully tight, leave 3-4 thread, then release you're spring rod into the cartridge and thread the rest of the cartridge onto the gun head fully, and make sure its tight! What happens is the spring will push the the grease into the little cavity you make when you dont thread it on the gun head all the way, then when you screw it all the way on it pretty much forces grease into the hollow area. Works for me on multiple guns, give it a try.
