Our Daughter owned a Honda mini trail 50cc when she was 6 yrs old and could pull wheelies.
She was also home schooled until the 8th grade, when she went to high school she was totally bored as she knew everything they were teaching all ready. By third grade she had read all the little house on the prairie books.
At 8 yrs old she was shooting rock chucks with her 10-22.
She turned out to be a good Mom and has 3 kids of her own, now she packs a 38 in her purse for the 2 legged wolves...

Care to expand on this? I don't recall seeing the topic brought up prior.
Where I'm from lots of folks homeschool their kids. I don't think they want men dressed as women shaking their butt in their kid's face.

Some people in Canada want to replace mother's day with ''birthing people's day'' It is a more inclusive term. How progressive is that?

Sorry. I guess I should have replied to the person that implied people that homeschool are stupid.

So there was just a blanket implication that the homeschooled are stupid, and it was indeed out of nowhere? I wasn't going back through the thread to see if there was any tie-in.

I actually had coffee the other day with a guy who's wife homeschools their kids. They have 4 school age kids and he said lots of days they have the schoolwork done by noon. I suppose 4 kids for 1 teacher is not a lot but they still have a baby and 1 preschool kid that she has to watch at the same time.

Couple of points.
You can't trust Social Media
It doesn't appear to be spewing out cut grass
Farming accidents involving children are far more frequent than you might guess.
You can't fix stupid.
Stupid people vote, procreate and home school.
My thoughts are….

Stoopid people create posts such as these

Growing up on a ranch...we learned how to be around and operate machinery at a young age.

We were fine and better off for it.

Damn, we're getting soft.
Yea; I was planting corn with a team of horses and planter when I was 10. Now when I look back on that, had the team ran away, I wasn't strong enough to stop them.
It was easy for me to drive dads HF TO20 with disc, bush hog, or picking up hay.

I lost a wee bit of fingernail on a old rotary push mower. Stick got caught. As soon as I removed the stick, it bit me. I was about 5 at the time. Still have the scar!

One of my friends who I would consider very intelligent did something similar on a gas reel mower when he was about 16 years old. Lost part of his finger. I was absolutely shocked that he could do something so stupid.

If that kid, belted to that mower wants to drive it around without the blades turning, I say go for it (with proper instruction beforehand) Apparently there are some folks commenting here that don't realize kids that age participate in Motocross events with real motorcycles that go quite fast, and they race as a group. Kinda makes the mower look like a tonka toy.
