Is this a scam? I Have discovered the Cold Hard Truth About Buying Tractors

/ I Have discovered the Cold Hard Truth About Buying Tractors #21
I feel that the OP may have been talking about much smaller tractors like a SCUT or a CUT. To many here that replied those are toys but a tractor non the less. I have only a SCUT but I would not trade it for the world. (well maybe for something bigger NOW). I use it for snow removal, firewood, mowing, tilling and anything else I can. The OP did have a point regarding prices of attachments, they are pricey but if your complaining about the prices then a tractor is probably not for you. They take money for attachments, fuel and maint. Ownership is not for someone with a deep pockets and alligator arms.

Expensive, yes, the longer you own them the cheaper it gets. Most often way less grief and cheaper than injuries on our bodies as well.

$10,000 tractor....Where??? i just purchased a new 2011 New Holland T1510 and its bare bones, no FEL, no hydrolics, just a 9x3 gear tranny and ag tires. ($13,000) granted it's 4wd and oh! yea a cup holder on the right fender??? (they actually promote this feature heavily) it is what i wanted and i believe the simpler the better. I traded a smaller tc24da for the new one, fwd, hydro, mmm, great tractor just not big enough for my use...Great for mowing though..... not so much for farming....big on power not on size (ground clearance etc.) I believe that a lot of new tractor owners get caught up in the features aspect of their tractors and not the functionality of the machine...........people will and do pay for convienience....and comfort...and thats what the dealer is betting on. shoot the whole industry just about. point is! get the tractor that suits your needs and as someone said you can do a smaller job with a bigger tractor but not a bigger job with a smaller tractor.....

ps. im tractor poor i also have a kubota 4030, 2wd roughly 42 hp, and a mf 471, 4wd, fel, cab, roughly 65 hp maybee more....nice to bale hay in....but hard to get in the barn and clean stalls......
