I hope Amsoil synthetic ATH was not a waste of $$$

The last time I saw all the specifications on SUDT and Amsoil, the SUDT had better specifications all the way around. Especially true of the cold weather ability. So if having a synthetic is what is most important, then check into Amsoil, Chevron etc., all synthetic but if having the better product specifications is more important, the SUDT was the last time I saw the figures, superior. Things may have changed.

I can't seem to find any references to the SUDT's specs anywhere. Anyone else know what they are?

My thing on synthetic is best described in this quote: "It's the difference between baking a cake (putting in only the things you want) and trying to boil, manipulate, and additize raw sewage until you come up with birthday cake."
I am trying to figure out what extended interval I can use when I switch to Amsoil ATH. Manual says 300 hours with SUDT or UDT. In my other vehicles I can go for about 3+ times the regular change interval, but I want Amsoil of someone in the know to tell me I can run the ATH for 900 hours before I actually do it.

I received the information from a dealer here at TBN named CNoel. She sent them to me via the mail. I no longer have the information. This topic has come many times (imagine that?) she saw my posts and thought I would want the information which she recevied at a national Kubota dealers meeting. I had Amsoil synthetic in a Kubota L4850 at the time.

If you are sharing transmission with hydraulic oil…. You will want Amsoil ATH in the transmission. For the front drive it will also work well also, but you can use just about any quality gear lube (synthetic preferred), check the specs and watch that it meets or exceeds your needs.

I have been reading oil specifications for decades and I have never found a mineral base oil that came close to any true synthetic. It’s too bad you can not find that literature I would like to read anything like technical specifications on UDT/SUDT, I would find any comparison to synthetic very interesting. KennyV.
