Your top handle Echo is nowhere near as good of a saw as the 2511 is. The 271 is not a fan favorite by any stretch of the imagination.Joncutter... What is it for, cutting up toilets? I'll keep my top handle Echo thank you. Far as saws go, any saw, Chinese or not will cut good with a properly sharpened chain....
I will say the Echo really requires breaking in a bit, couple tankfulls of syn gas (Echo Red Armor) in my case, bring the best out if the saw and it's my favorite for limbing and smaller dialeter cuts and it don't need no stinking, noisy Egan muffler either. Always fires up second pull as well.
Whatever. I don't really care as the one I own does what I need it to do just fine. I don't wear out saws as a rule anyway as referenced by my 028 I bought over 40 years ago that still runs like a raped ape, pulls a 20" bar of 404 chipper, no issue and only runs on canned gas. I did have to replace all the fuel lines this year and the carb to cylinder intake boot and the vibration dampeners, got everything from Sawzilla btw. I modded the muffler (all Stih's have restricted muffs).Your top handle Echo is nowhere near as good of a saw as the 2511 is. The 271 is not a fan favorite by any stretch of the imagination.
I seen that pop up in your group earlier today.Man talking about twisting my arm. Guy I know in my group just put a V-modest 2511 up for sale for 75 shipped since he needed some money quickly.
I let some of the members have at it since I am covered well in these.

You know, for $99, giving a saw like this a permanent home on your tractor or UTV makes a lot of sense.Look what you made me do....
put in an order for the $100 special.
That less money than a pair of batteries for the Makita electric.
It's going to have a permanent home in the tractor scaboard....
thanks you guys! ;-)
