If you read about sloppy air filters. It was probably the wrong size one put on it.What are yāall doing for the sloppy fitting air filter on the 2511 clones?
I talked with that guy yesterday, price is $139 now, including shipping to SC. I wish it was $99.I blame Jeephead for starting the thread Echo 2511t is an amazing saw
Echo 2511T is an amazing saw!
I made the mistake of going to my Echo dealer and holding one. A saw that cuts well with a 5.2 lb powerhead? I had to have one.
Then xyz123 posts a picture of his three 2511s! I didn't even know a person was allowed that much decadence. I already own 7 chainsaws, but having another 2511 would be fun.
He gave me the name of his dealer (who knows what he's doing) Log into Facebook
so I ordered one.
I figured I'll take a chance, it won't take much to have $99 worth of fun.

Yes, you can buy the Joncutter at Amazon but itās $155 thereWait, you can buy the Jonsaw on Amazon?
BTW: Checked out my local Stihl dealer for a 661C w/36ā light bar & chain.
Now up to $1,625.
Before tariffs, I was quoted $1,415 for same saw.
He quoted me $139 shipped to South Carolina yesterdayDoes your guy in Ohio ship, to say Indiana?
Love to give him business, but not into a 9 hour round trip for a saw.
@Hockfire Saws Do they offer a clone of a 395?
Well if you are going back to the $99 with prep and shipping, put me at the top of your list when they come in!! Iāll take one.Hey it looks like FT has replenished the US stock of G2511 on their site and I'll be darned, they stayed with the $99 price! And over night I found out I will be able to do the same $99 including prep & shipping when my next shipment comes in. But that'll be 5 weeks or so. The one JonCutter I have left and the V-Modests that I have are stuck at the $139
I do have some ported hot rod V-Modest if anyone is interested. It adds $375 to the price which puts them right about with stock OEM but with way more zip.
Farmertec G395. They do and cuts real close to the OEM saws.Do they offer a clone of a 395?
Yes they do. And i have some in stock for the same $337 that they have on their site.
That is the exact same reason I ended up selling Holzfforma. i needed something big enough to split/rip long logs to fit into my firewood processor. 661 was just too much for a single purpose saw so I started looking at the Holz. I ended up with a G660 Pro for $459. After the 2nd tank I was hooked. I still hold that price on the Pro. The regular G660 is a fine saw too and only $347. A 36" B&C set is $125. Shipping can be a bit painful for the big bars and if FT has any kind of sale going on they will have a better price. It's weird having the manufacturer also be your competitor but that's they way it is with anything from China. Thanks for joining us and offering these saws. I have found with tariffs, pro saws are getting out of reach for the average grunt like me. I was quoted $1,625 for a 661C with lightweight 36ā bar. It was $1,425 pre tariff in May of ā25.
I wonāt use a 36ā saw enough times/yr to justify that much expense. I mean $1,625 is crazy money.
What big bore knock off saw do you suggest for a āreplacementā for a 661C?
Also, do you expect the rear handle version of the $99 Jon to be available soon?
I hate buying Chinese anything, but if these saws are reasonably close to the expensive German/Japanese saws at 1/4 the priceā¦..well, maybe itās time to give it a try.
Thanks
