Whenever I bring home a new gun, she says, "Did you buy another gun?" I say, "You've seen this old thing before. I just took it to the range."

She can't tell one from another.... luckily.

I can't do that with tractors.

She was very pleased when I gave her a new pink revolver for Christmas.

Things went to heck when she discovered my 4th gunsafe.


When I started looking a which tractor to buy, I told her I was going to buy a new tractor. The process took over 4 months,

One day she answered the phone and she was asked to tell me that the tractor was ready for pickup.

She said to me, "You're buying a new tractor?"

I said, "I told you I was about 4 months ago. How many times to I need to tell you?"

I'm surprised she had selective memory on that issue.

while my CK20 was in shop for trans repair, my wife and I discussed the possibility of buying a new tractor. i said I'd love to buy a new one but didn't it would be good to take on a new loan payment, when my wife was retiring last fall and I was thinking a coiuple more years.

Wife says "i've been thinking about it, and I know how we can do it and not be a major financial burden! So needless to say I was LISTENING INTENTLY.
Tell me how we're going to do this?
" you are going to sign up for your SS payment this fall and all that SS money is going to make the tractor payments, I can talk about retiring soon as tractors paid for.!

GOD I REMEMBER WHY I LOVE THAT WOMAN!! Oh yeah, my new CK2510 Cab with front snow blower is wonderful when plowing!!

AND social security is paying for it. That is exactly what I did with my CK27 and how I am paying for it.

I'd say you just don't have enough tractors...of course, they'd likely have to be all the same color and all be equipped roughly the same (eg. cab [or not], FEL), but then you could say the same to her as with the new gun.

Tractors aren't that difficult. You must always buy the same color (most people do) then splatter it with mud and grease before you bring it home. They'll never know the difference.

Now that is a little more normal... I'm still learning but I think I need to listen more, nod, and say yes I agree. It's the 'yes I agree' part I am struggling with.
