My wife is great been married for 11 years , and have 2 boys , six and 9 . First kid I was 43 . I was out working and a saw a house for sale , rough , real rough . I made an offer , it was accepted . I came home and she asked " How was your day ?" I told her , I bought a house . Her reply was , is it a good deal ? when can I see it . Its now a rental

I try to always listen to my wife. But holy crap she is bad at saying anything. I listen, and I listen, and I listen. Then, by the time I finally ask her to get around to the point, she's forgotten what the point was. Then a few days later she'll be agitated that I didn't listen to something she told me. I'll get agitated because I know I did listen, and in all the talking she did, I know she never told me the thing that she thinks she told me. I point out that she discussed A, B, C and D, (see, I did listen) but never mentioned E. She'll get mad and tell me I should have inferred E, and that the reason I didn't infer E is because of my poor communication skills. Yeah, I'm the one with poor communication skills. Right.

There is a huge difference between listening and understanding when someone speaks.

I have a co-worker that says he is listening but you can tell that his mind is not registering what is being said because he is too busy thinking of his reply and what he wants to say!

Not saying this is your issue but leads me to a story;

My lovely wife asked me to get my hearing checked because she believed I was not hearing her when she spoke. The audiologist says my hearing is A1! How come my wife says that I cannot hear what she says...reply; Unfortunately I cannot measure or check the ability to listen and understand ! Ha

Here's my contribution.
A husband and his wife are broken into, the burglar ties them both up and starts to ram-sack the house.
The husband says to the wife, " Honey, I love you, no matter what happens or what he does to you".
Later, the thief approaches the wife and whispers in her ear, she then points to the bathroom.
The husband says, what did he say, dear,, she replied......
He said you had a nice butt and wanted to know where the Vaseline was,
but don't worry hun, I love you too, no matter what happens.

Now guys, you must listen to your beloved.
When my wife said "you need a new tractor" we grabbed the dog, got in the truck, and went shopping. Always listen to the little woman!

while my CK20 was in shop for trans repair, my wife and I discussed the possibility of buying a new tractor. i said I'd love to buy a new one but didn't it would be good to take on a new loan payment, when my wife was retiring last fall and I was thinking a coiuple more years.

Wife says "i've been thinking about it, and I know how we can do it and not be a major financial burden! So needless to say I was LISTENING INTENTLY.
Tell me how we're going to do this?
" you are going to sign up for your SS payment this fall and all that SS money is going to make the tractor payments, I can talk about retiring soon as tractors paid for.!

GOD I REMEMBER WHY I LOVE THAT WOMAN!! Oh yeah, my new CK2510 Cab with front snow blower is wonderful when plowing!!
