I might need to sell my 7710-II

Hi Renze, yes my tractor is still at the dealers lot. They had one offer for $16,500 which is what the tractor is worth here with 4k hours. If I get an offer in the $18k or higher range it is gone.

I have a deal made for a new Case-IH as soon as this 7710-II is sold. But there is no hurry as I have other tractors that will run my equipment (always have backups) so while I am short handed tractor wise my farm is still expanding. We added another 40 acres recently (it was a great deal:) ). So hopefully next year I will be in a position to add another tractor as I need at least two new tractors right now.

I will send you a PM

So whatever happened to your tractor situation Robert??

Hopefully your farming season is going better than ours in the midwest.

John

There is no change in the tractor situation.

My hay is way behind schedule as the weather won't let me cut very much yet. My vineyards are slightly behind schedule as is my orchard. My corn will be caught up to date after today. I am hoping by the end of the week I am caught up on farm work but you know how that goes.

Robert----Do you have any relatives in Oklahoma? My aunt's maiden name was Turk, her ancestors were homesteaders in the Oklahoma Territory, her dad and mom had a ranch near Henrietta and raised cattle.

I do not know of any relatives out there but that doesn't mean I don't have any.

I'm guessing no news Robert?
Hate to see a situation like this one. Lack of communication leads to shock and bad feelings.

I'm in auto repair, it's imperative we get the customer in on decisions, even when the alternative choices are scarce. ...on the flip side I believe sometimes things happen to make room for better things....... Good luck.

You are correct, there is no change on my tractor situation.

I didn't think lack of communication was the main problem as I communicated quite a bit over this situation even discussion cost at least 3 times before any parts were ordered. The problem was they screwed up and didn't go the route we discussed and mutually agreed to.

It is ok though, I have other tractors and managed to farm before the 7710 and am still farming without the 7710. I liked the tractor but it was more of a luxury tractor where it gave me options as to which tractor to take as well as handling some implements easier. But except for one plow I can pull all my implements with the TN so I really do not miss the tractor too much. Strangely enough, I don't even mind making the payments on the 7710 still either even though I don't have the tractor

Not a lack on your part Robert  The dealer didn't tell you what they decided to do to your tractor..ergo, lack of communication.:(

What I feel happened is they screwed up and either ordered the wrong parts or forgot what was discussed. Then decided to just bill me anyway. I really did think I did everything right but in hindsight I should have had work orders wrote up stating what was to be done, estimated cost and instructions for any unforseen problems. But so far I am the only one willing to admit I should have done things differently and even offered to meet halfway between the estimate and the bill I received. I understand mistakes happen as I have made them in the past, what bothers me is the lack of responsibility on their part. They refuse to accept any blame in this mess.

So I really don't think it is a lack of communication but more of a lack of character and responsibility. We all make mistakes, I was just lucky enough to learn from my father to own up to my mistakes and to try and make things right that is fair to everyone involved.
