I am sure that I could haggle the price down a bit but, as I said, their prices were so close to Kubota's that the added hassle of them being so far away (2 1/2 hours) resulted in me looking at what is on offer locally. Now, I appreciate that sale sometimes state things that, in reality, don't apply and I am hoping that I will be able to get to as close a final decision as I can.

At least the weather is on my side. 10 degrees C is forecast for tomorrow:licking:

So

After a weekend spent trying them all out and comparing, we have decided to go with the Kubota 4600, with FEL SSQA, 72 inch material bucket, fluid in tires, two hydraulic valves at the back (double acting and detent), 84 inch rear blade and front and rear bale spears, for the princely sum of $33,500 CDN.

It should be here in 2-3 weeks and I will post pictures once it arrives. I just have to learn how to operate it!

Congrats on the new tractor. I've moved round bales with mine the last two summers and with a bale on the 3 pt it is very stable with one on the loader, and I haven't loaded my rear tires yet.

I purchased it from Farmway Machinery in High River. We live within 10 kms of there. We are south of Calgary.

My daughters used to board their horses at Wheatland stables east of highway 9 on 564. Travelling from south Calgary, they were very dedicated!
