I have a lap top and wireless network set up, so I can take a break and still check into TBN without having to worry about dragging mud into the house... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The wireless link will work down at my pond, but that is pushing it. I suppose the next project with be a laptop holder for each tractor...then I could be on TBN and the tractor at the same time... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have that quick attach for my 2910 and it works very well. I change between the 60" bucket and pallet forks. If you are thinking of using the Kubota quick attach for the front forks you will be happy with the results. Of course in Bills case he will simply buy another tractor. :

One problem with the clamp on kind is that you can't see what you are doing most of the time, because the bucket is in the way.

I think it would be better to have a way to take the bucket off and put forts on.

Now you might see what you are doing if you take your seat belt off and stand up...but even then it is tough...

Still...clamp-on bucket forks are better than no forks I suppose. Still glad I have mine....

Well...that might have worked in the "old days", but now that we're gearing up our tractors with the notebook computers and wireless links, standing up might be a problem.

You might see if the dealer will throw in the 50 hour service as well.

Remember that the foldable rops on the 2910 is several inches higher than the solid rops. This might be good or bad depending on what you are doing. It might be easier to add a canopy to a fixed rops.

Fishman, I'll definately take that into consideration .

I'm going in Monday to try and nail down a price .
I did make one BIG mistake yesterday . I went down to the local car wash to De-grunge my truck . Next door is the Other local Kubota dealer . I could help but to go inside . Honest !!
I couldn't help myself ! Well there is a B7800 and an L3130 side by side . I was just compare physical sizes .
Well before I know it I've got a price quote on a 2910 and the 3130 . Equipped pretty much as stated previously .
The quote was within a few Hundred BUCK.
Man , My head hurts from all this .
Either of these machines to me are mechanical things of beauty. And I'm sure would serve me well for years .
I guess I'll know for sure Monday after I talk with the original dealer . John

Well, I got a price quote today . About 1300 bucks difference between the two . (attachments and options the same ) Plus I added a PHD with 12"auger into the mix. Not at all bad considering the size and weight difference ,plus the loader capacity (la 513 W Hd bucket ) This whole thing has turned out to be quite an excercise in mental agility !!! I'd have never guessed how many things that there were to consider.
I'm pretty sure both machines will do a better than adequate job for me . But I get a gut feeling that the heavier built machine will tolerate my initial blunders . John
