I'm not sure if I got the picture attached, but this is a friend of a friend who was apparently transporting a load too heavy for his 2305 without a ballast box.....:)

If he wasn't, he is probably laying out of the picture to the right!;)

Hahaha.... the friend isn't in the picture as he went in to clean out his shorts!!

The 2000 series are barely larger than lawnmowers; I'm surprised we don't see more of these pictures given the types of stuff their owners put them through on this board. (I'm used to full size tractors & backhoes, so my 970 seems pretty dinky to me.) Then again, it is a testament to the quality of the units if they hold up to this abuse.

Yikes!! I don't know about that series of J-D's, but my 955's front brakes don't work if the 4wd isn't engaged, so, if you're hauling a bit more weight than you should in 2 wd and the rear wheels come off the ground, the brakes don't work. Now THAT gets your attention.

Another great reason to keep a loaded bucket low during transport. From the looks of it, his bucket had to be 5' or 6' off the ground?

3RRL,

That was my thought immediately when I saw the post, traveling with a load well off the ground, hit a dip and it flipped towards the front. If this is the case, be sure to tell your friend, if transporting weight to keep it very low/almost against the ground. Alternatively, if he had tried to turn with a load transporting it well above the ground, then the picture would have been of that new 2305 on it's side.

I sure hope he has learned a valuable lesson about the need for BALLAST

Ahh -- It's a posed photo.:D

I can do that with my Kubota B7100 anytime I want. :)
