It tipped to the side. It's hard to explain how it happened. But once it started tipping I probably went the wrong direction on the FEL and made it worse. I have had it tipsy before, but always was able to recover easily since the load was low. This time I lifted the load high to dump on a high pile and got into trouble. The ground was level, but I think the front left tire went up the pile of dirt as I was raising the FEL to dump.

maybe your are or it wouldnt have helped in this case but all my tractors ive set the wheels as wide as possible..It really makes a differnce..

whenever you have a load that is near the limits of what you can do always keep it "low and slow". Keep the bucked only about six inches off the ground. If it starts to go over, drop the load. It will usually right itself. Things happen really fast. Keeping it really low also helps as it doesn't have room to go over, The bucket will hit the ground before it can go over.

Glad you are ok.
Don't let your tractor lay on it's side.
Get it upright as soon as possible.
If you can't, then see if you can get the battery out of it. A battery that leaks will cause a long lasting mess. If it has leaked, wash it with liberal amounts of baking soda and water.

I would have had that thing on 4 wheels by now with another tractor or a pickup truck. Those combustion chambers may be full by now. How about some pictures. Philip.

My thinking is that the load in your bucket was heavier on one side. That way it was easy to become unstable even on small side angle. I figured that it is safer to drive up the pile rather than lift the bucket to high.
Regarding the engine: My guess is that oil in the cylinders is possible but not likely. I would put a socket on the crankshaft and turn it with ratchet to be safe. If it turns two turns or more it is safe to start. If it gets stuck remove glow plugs and crank it with starter. Put the glow plugs back and you are ready to go.

Glad to hear you were okay. I did a similar thing in June although my tractor did not tip over I was thrown off from the seat and landed on my right shoulder. Ended up tearing two tendons and ripping a third. Has the should operation in October am still in the sling for a few more weeks and rehab until maybe February and with any luck by then I might have 90 + % use of the arm.

The lesson if there is one, keep the darn bucket down at all times with a load in it! LOL As for your tractor once it is up-righted I go along with letting it rest for a period of time before you try starting it. Follow your dealers instructions.

Sorry to hear about the tip over but glad you're okay. I hope you are able to get it back on all fours soon and that there is minimal damage.
