Re: I took the plunge - UPDATE II

Well, I pulled the mower off last night and sprayed some lube around. The knob works OK now. Much easier to turn. And taking the deck off was cake. I did it on concrete but I'm sure it could be done on hard packed gravel if need be.

I moved a few ton of gravel around the driveway today. I'm getting the hang of using the FEL. My wife says I look like a kid with a big Tonka toy. I told her no, that this is work....

Quick question - I have an electrical connector bundled just above the top link of the 3pt. Is this for the work light option? If so, I'm thinking of tapping into it to use an electric pump sprayer my father-in-law has. Any unforseen probs in doing this?

Thanks,

wickman

Re: I took the plunge - UPDATE II

Good Morning!

Glad to here you two are getting along better. Nothing worse than starting a long relationship out on the wrong foot!!

I also saw those wires, I assumed that is what they are for, but dont know for sure. Maybe someone will chime in.

I thought the lube would help, I figured it worked good for you at the dealer, they washed it before they brought it out.....

I have been working mine pretty hardlast couple days. Started pond.

Re: I took the plunge - UPDATE II

The wires are indeed used for the rear work light, but the light splices into the wires, leaving the actual connector available to use for something else. Quite possibly an electric sprayer or the like. I am going to lube up that deck knob this evening, thanks for the tip!

Re: I took the plunge - UPDATE II

As jdeerestl mentioned, the rear work light kit uses this pigtail. I don't have a working knowledge of the circuit, but I do know my rear worklight kit is switched by the headlight/four-way switch on the console.
