I want a B series tractor, but which one ?

I thought I wanted a B7800, but went to look at them, and the 7500 looks like plenty of tractor, but what size brush hog will it handle?

How about seeders, overseeders , and tillers ?

Is the 402 loader 54" or 60"? Which would I want with the 7800?

The B-7500 will handle a 4 foot brush hog some say they use a 5 foot but probably only for weeds. The tiller a 4 foot would also be recommeded. I cannot commet on the overseeders and the 7800 FEL bucket size.
What are your needs for your tractor choice if you give us a list of your desired chores you want to accomplish the board may be better able to advice.
In most cases the 7500 will do everything the 7800 will do it will just take a little longer.

There is quite a bit of difference in the load capacity of a FEL for B7500 and B7800. Check this link to Carvers site, Click Here, that list all the spec’s for B series tractors.
The 402 can use either size bucket. I have a 60”. It has worked great. The 54” is made of a little heavier material.

If I was going to get the B7800 I would take a look at the B2910 and compare them. There is a little bit of a money difference but if you are going to spend a lot of seat time it might be worth it. I have a B2910 on the way. I am also getting a brush hog. I am getting the five foot Befco Brush Hog. I am also getting a five foot Befco Finish Mower. I have had great luck with Befco. With the B7800 having 30 horsepower it can handle a five foot with some power left for the big stuff.

Whatacha goona take care of with the tractor? That's a mjor factor to consider too.
I have a B7500 and it does everything I've asked on our 11 acre place. I till the garden, I mow 2-3 acres, I bushhog the hillside, I fill the FEL with dirt, topsoil, gravel, leaves, brush, etc to move from place to place.
