I am not a big gun nut. I own a shotgun and maybe a half box of shells. But there is something about a foreigner especially from not so Great Britain trying to take my second amendment right away that really upsets me. I hope this is not to political for this site and I don't really want to offend anyone who might have a different opinion. However I always thought gun ownership and living in the country were synonomous. Actually, i used to enjoy the piers Morgan show before he started attacking the second amendment. Oh we'll, I guess it is just part of getting old. Things just keep changing, and unfortunately not often for the better. I hope no one minds me venting about this subject. Thanks!

1. Controversy = ratings. He gets paid for ratings, not for being correct.

2. He's British. We ditched British rule for a reason. It had to do with liberty. Apparently he doesn't get that.

Never understood why folks go somewhere and complain about how where they left was better. Maybe he is just sore about living in James bond and Austin powers shadow.

He can't go back:

Piers Morgan Phone Hacking Testimony Called 'Utterly Unpersuasive' In Leveson Report

Piers Morgan was not treated too kindly by the just-released Leveson Report, which called his testimony about phone hacking "utterly unpersuasive."

The CNN host and former British tabloid editor gave testimony to the inquiry into the ethics of the British press back in December. There, he was confronted with past statements he had made about phone hacking, both in his book and in interviews. Other witnesses also testified that he told them how to hack into phones.

While Morgan has freely admitted to knowing about the practice, he has vociferously denied allegations that he condoned it at the Mirror, and no concrete evidence has ever been found tying him to hacking. The newspaper has, however, been sued by people who claim their phones were hacked during his editorship.

Lord Justice Leveson, who chaired the inquiry, devoted a small chunk of his voluminous report to Morgan's testimony. He concentrated on a 2007 interview Morgan gave in which he called phone hacking an "investigative practice that everyone knows was going on at almost every paper in Fleet Street for years." Morgan said he was "passing on rumors."

"This was not, in any sense at all, a convincing answer," Leveson wrote. "Overall, Mr. Morgan's attempt to push back from his own bullish statement to the Press Gazette was utterly unpersuasive," Leveson wrote.

The Brits have started arresting some of his colleagues and are pursuing criminal prosecutions for this practice. It occurred under his watch at a major London newspaper.

Fair comment guys, however, it's simply freedom of speech, another one of your rights.
Also, we don't appreciate your boss man giving the UK advice about staying in the EU as it benefits America!

Spot on Geko! It never ceases to amaze me how many people pass comments about other countries without considering that exactly the same argument is true in their own homeland! That said, the Americans are more than welcome to keep Piers Morgan...!

I've never seen his show and don't know anything about him. I do like that he has become the poster child for gun control and the more he talks, the less credible he becomes. To me, he is very much like Al Gore and Man Made Global Warming. They are both doing more harm for their cause and convincing more and more people that they are utterly corrupt and so dishonest that everything they say isn't true.

I say let him talk. Give him more time and a bigger platform.

We are not alone, 109334 signed the Whitehouse Petition to send him back to Great Britain. What little I know about the man is enough to tell me he is an arrogant, opinionated, and obnoxious person. 'Nuff said 'bout that.

For those who do not have time to read up on him, Piers was one time editor of the left wing UK newspaper "The Daily Mirror".

During his time there, he indulged in dodgy share dealings (Viglen) as well as phone hacking (various) and using his reporters to persue his vendetas (various).

He resigned after publishing faked photos of British Troops in Iraq.

Two of his "victims" had an interesting chat about him on BBC Radio - Jeremy Clarkson & Ian Hislop on Piers Morgan-BBC Radio 5live - YouTube - I just love the countryside joke (not sure if the 'C' word is used in the US too)

As Eddie says - let him keep talking - over there - don't send him back. Please. Please.

He was on CBS this morning and is back pedaling on deporting himself. Just like everyone who loudly proclaims if so and so is elected, I will move to (fill in the blank) and doesn't go anywhere.

Yeah pick him up for sedition, send him down to gitmo for a few weeks or until UK demands he be let go and then let UK pick him up. Cancel his visa and put him on US no fly list. That will fix his wagon.
