Mike
I have no doubt Harv will not mind me using his sentence to highlight English errors that are neither meant or deliberate. Why should we care, we understood exactly what he meant, did we not Mike?

If it had , my life would be a lot less entertaining. And I wouldn't be on the internet

True Andy,
Not all TBN members are from the US. Most write and probably speak very good English. I just wish I could speak their languages as well. For those that compose in broken English, because they do not speak it well, if I can tell what your comment is about, then you got the job done.

Good Luck!! That sounds like an excellent goal, but you apparently will need much more than a few weeks!!

PS: I think that a Power Trac would be more to your liking!! I certainly enjoy mine!!

I am a fast learner and I have already learned that your arogrance is just to be avoided. I will be disregarding all your posts in the future. You should spend more time on your Power Trac and none on TBN!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

We did. It's probably a question of degree, i.e., do misspellings or someone's use of an online persona, etc. make their posts difficult to understand.

Personally I got a problem with demanding that others be so perfect. I SUPPORT POLECAT!!!

I miss POLECAT... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I got extremely frustrated after reading his early posts, because they were hard to read and not in my style of writing, but as time went on, I discovered not only were his posts entertaining, but also extremely valuable.

I look at each day of my life as a learning experience, as there's lessons to be learned from our day to day lives...

I learned from Todd that you can be a valuable contributor to TBN, and to other people's lives in general, and not have a great outward appearence to others (writing ability). There's more to showing someone is smart than just their looks or their writing capability! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

If I could figure out a really cheap way of shipping it (like almost free), I'd give him my old computer just to get him back on TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

FOURTEEN, I don't feel clear concise text adds any credibility. For me, the credibility I take from a post is based on content.
As far as cryptanalysis, I believe the search feature works on post content, not the thread heading. As long as one person spells the topic correctly, or as I would spell it during a search, it would come up. If I am wrong on this point, one of the moderators will correct me.

Since we are talking accuracy in a sense:

( I am not demanding anything! But, as the Army says: “Be the best you can be!”. )

It is actually, "Be all you can be".

That's been switched to An Army of One... keep up on current events. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I know the Army of one slogan. And most of us dislike it. It goes against everything they teach you in basic training about individualism and teamwork.

I've heard that from many military folks. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I think they were trying to make it sound like one individual can make a difference, but it ended up sounding like they were not promoting team work. Poor choice of words.

Which brings us back to this thread... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I think all Fourteen was asking was for people to use their spell checker once in a while. I find it hard to read many posts that are misspelled on purpose. Once in a while for humor it is fun, but it does get tiring after a while. Just my 2 cents. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

There is a very nice spell checker for IE called ieSpell. It is free for personal use and works great. Here's a clickable link to their download page.

Too bad they don't have a version of Civility Checker... We all could use that one once in a while! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
