To all members:

When you post a message, or reply, please take a little extra time to review, edit, capitalize, and spell check your message before you post it!

I have found it more efficient to compose on Microsoft WORD with it's spell checker and easy editing tools. Then copy and paste to the Post form.

Doing this will make the transfer of ideas much more pleasant for all of us. Thanks!!

How can that be efficient? What editing tools do you need to use that can't be done in the Post text area? Muhammad even supplies a spell checker.

However, I would like to suggest that posts get placed into the proper forum -- unlike this thread -- unless the poor spellers are Power Trac owners. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I prefer to compose in Notepad so I can see all the other messages while writing the reply. I also refresh just before using the post box, to see if someone just said it better. This is simpler than opening another instance of the thread in a second window.

Then click on 'Quote' to put a set of quote brackets into the Post box, cut/paste something from the original post shown below the Post box into the space between quote and end-quote, then finally put in my text from Notepad.

I don't mind the free-spellers, but my suggestion is to always include a photo if possible!

Gary,
You will most likely ruffle a few feathers by your post but I could not agree more.

Personally, it's hard for me to try and decipher some post. A simple spell check (that has been added to this forum) would help. Plus, not capitalizing EVERYTHING is simply Internet etiquette.

I'm sure my past posts are riddled with errors and I apologize for that but I really try to write legibly.

I've never been bothered by spelling or other grammatical errors. As long as I can understand what they're trying to say, good enough for me. I have a good friend that has horrible grammar. I can still understand his e-mails & occasionally get a good laugh about his writing style. One thing I have learned is, some of the people posting here with poor grammar know a heck of a lot more than I do, about a whole lot of topics.

This knowledge will never benefit anyone other than those who read it soon after the message is posted because no one will be able to find it in a Search. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
