They're not as bad as you might think, mine take less than 1/2 hour to install.Does the tire in that picture have a bar code molded right into the tread??
So far I've been too cheap, and lazy, to get chains...I'd likely leave them on well into the summer if I had them...or maybe it isn't such a big hassle to mount/dismount them as I imagine.

I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new tire chains for the Kioti. They were supposed to be delivered yesterday, but the tracking still show them to be in Earth City Mo. where they have been for 2 days. In other words, the normal check in and check out tracking seems to be stuck. I get this box, but the delivery guy doesn't look like he is straining too much. I can easily pick the box up and inside I find a box repackaged within the box. Whoops, just one chain. Not good. The distributor is checking on it. But I am thinking one chain is not going to do a whole lot of good on snow and ice:laughing:
Somewhere up east is a lonely little chain pining for its mate!
James, had the package been shipped on a pallet it may have arrived in tact

I lay my out directly behind the tractor the way you want them on the tire take a piece of rope and run it through the rim and pull the tractor forward so it climbs up on the tire get off straighten so it is laying equally on each side of tire.i then get back on and pull ahead a few feet and repeat process after a few more adjustment the chain is on,hook it up at the connectors and then use bungee cords to take up the slack.there is no heavy lifting.
Better late than never!

As long as they get here before the next snow event... yesterday and today would have been great days to put them on.. sunny and warm.. going into a colder period in the next couple of days.
Murphy must be lurking nearby! I emailed an order for the same chains Friday and received an
email, confirming the order. Today, I received another email cancelling the order, saying that they
did not have enough stock to fulfill the order. Their web site still indicates in stock! Hmmmm! I
ordered the chains from Tire Chains Required in Oakland, Maine!
To add to the aggravation, I contacted the dealer, from whom I purchased the Pronovost Puma-74 snow
blower, telling them of the failed weld on the auger drive shaft. The service manager told me to bring it in
and they'd see if they would repair it or replace it. I worked on it all morning and into the afternoon, but
couldn't free up the shaft from the chain sprocket assembly. I called them back to tell him about my
problem, and he replied "Oh, I meant to bring in the whole snow blower. We can't get any reimbursement
from the manufacturer with just the shaft!" After telling him that I couldn't bring in the snow blower as
it won't fit in the bed of my pickup truck, he sent someone up with a truck to get the blower. Talk about
a wasted day!
Ever notice that without fail, what ever you ordered to help in bad weather
never shows up until the weather is too bad to install it :anyone:
Like the Hams say, an antenna will not work properly until it is put up in
winter weather....I just put up an 267 foot Carolina Windom dipole this
morning. 8 F and about - 2 or -3 wind chill. :cold: My old G5RV finally bit the dust...
Oh Well,, Some hot turkey veggie soup put me to rights....
