I wonder if I can make this work

Sorry, can't master the picture attachment process. Anyway, I have a Snowsport manual plow that fits on to a 2" hitch that is attached to the front of my truck. I purchased a 2" clamp-on hitch that is now on the front loader of my Yanmar YM2210d. Hope to move a bunch of snow this year. Plan #2 is a 44" snow blower on my JD X500. Let it snow. You may have issues with the clamp on hitch turning sideways if you have more load on one side than on the other.

Yeah, that's a concern, only time will tell. I have moved a lot of sand around with this set-up as a dry run, and so far it stays put. I'm hoping the JD with snowblower will do all the work, but if we get a big one, I can use the plow to whittle it down lawyer at a time until the blower can take over. Now that I'm retired, I have a whole new outlook on snow removal. It it looks like too much, I'll go back inside and have another cup of coffee and put another log in the stove. Have a great Thanksgiving.

I see 2 pictures, I have the same clamp-on hitch, let us know how that works.

When I use my plow mounted on the bucket- I used to depend on the shoes to not dig up the gravel drive. The shoes never stayed adjusted. Then I started tipping the bucket forward, changing the angle that the plow met the ground. I found that stopped me from hanging up on a frozen stone on rough ground. It was easier on the plow and bucket mount. Once I had a good angle set, I just left it there and plowed. My set up was a straight plow, 7' plow on a 5' bucket. I used the holes that were in the bucket that were there for a tooth bar.

Fortunately, my driveway is paved, so I won't use shoes. Thanks for the tip about the blade angle, guess I'll have to experiment until I find the right setting.

That looks good, wish I could have painted mine before I took the pics.
I have a very small garage that I can paint in but did this outside and then inside with heat on to dry it.
PS the plow is now safety yellow ready for snow. got all my ideas right on this site.

I have a 71/2 foot meyers blade I put a quick tatch plate on it, no angle but left the springs on so it will trip if I hit something hard. I welded on side plates on it it really cleans up the yard nice.

Why not just put in on like the truck mount it was designed to work with ? As it is, anything more than a few inches of snow will make your driveway look like a drunk plowed it because you can't get the tractor to go straight.

My loader control gives me raise/lower (power down is very important for me) and swing left and right. 4 bolts to the frame from some drop blocks and 4 hose connections.
