Here's a pic of the buggy style cover that tsc sells. as I remember it is 89$ or so, and comes with tube couplers.. if you can find a way to mount those tube couplers to something you are set ( like a piece of pipe.. etc ).. or you can buy the bracket kit for 25-35$ that has the L shaped tube brackets and some swivel and slide brackets making a fender mount very easy on even sloped fenders.

I've had this one for at least 3 years... no signs of decay yet... no rust on the ?plated? (yellow looking) metal surfaces.

That said.. I got a hard top aluminum with a fiber board pad from my NH dealer for ?250$.. it was a NOS.. NNS ones were ? 350$ or so.. They installed it free of charge when i had the tractor in for service.

Is that one of those cool boxes like they use in NASCAR mounted on top of the canopy? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Looks like you are all set with your AC and all. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I had to go back and look at my picture to see what you were talking about. The box is just an old cooler sitting on the shelf. The hose is used keep the dogs cool when we're taking a long trip in the summer heat. Sends cold air back to the camper shell.

Chris, that TSC canopy or umbrella is what the neighbor had on the old Oliver that I used so much cutting and baling hay. It served the purpose quite well. And fortunately, I never damaged it, but he had to replace it twice when he ran it under low limbs on trees. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My L3130 Kubota came with the Well Ag Canopy and the cost was $325. That was July of last year. Wells has two modes of mounting now; side brackets like TxDon has on his tractor or a series of heavy U-bolts that clamp on the top of the rops in a universal mount. I have the latter and have had no problem but something heavy coming down on the top could cause it to fold downward. There is short bar welded on the cross piece as a "stopper" to prevent this. Would work well on a NH where the ROPS leans backward but on my Kubota with a vertical ROPS the canopy could sag as much as 30* before the stopper came up against the ROPS.

I like my painted canopy but thought that others should know about the mounting.

Thanks, Vernon. I didn't know about different mounting methods for them. Mine had the flat plates on either side with the U-bolts through those.

In some ways yours is the better mounting system but neither is a FOPS. When my son is available to help I plan to get 3 pieces of 1'2" square iron welded to the mount cross piece up against the
ROPS to prevent roll down. It has 4 heavy u-bolts holding it on but I would feel more comfortable with a little more.

Absolutely right! For what I was doing, I didn't feel a need for a FOPS. My only initial priority was SHADE in the Texas sun! It was kind of a bonus that it turned out to be such a great place to mount my extra lights, rear view mirror, and tiltmeters. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I haven't started adding stuff as yet but one of the earliest to be added is one of the 12v cab fans mounted under the canopy to deflect some of the heat coming off the engine. Like you I will add lights, etc. soon.

I went to the dealer to check this out what a top would cost. The fire bird one is $460. I think that is a bit much
