Ideas for fastening strobe light to tractor roof

Clearance height is a problem here too. I installed some programmable flashers on the four side edges of the cab roof. They're bright and can be set to a number of different flash patterns. Since the tractor already has lights and flashing yellow "lollipop" lights, these are sufficient to grab a bit of attention at a distance. When driving to town, the fore and aft flashers illuminate road signs. The ones on the side light up the fronts of houses along the way.

My BIL mounted a decent-gauged sheet metal that is slightly below the roof and sticks his magnetic base flasher on it. He has lanyard to catch it when he forgets to remove the light before entering the one bay with the smaller door.

I will have the low-profile strobe this week and see if I can get a 7“ piece of round metal glued to the roof by then.

Honestly it‘s more difficult to find the round disc than the light. lol

Other than plasma cutting a round disc out of metal plate, I'm stumped thinking of where you'd find a 7" round disc of much thickness.

I see that you have lights on the back of the
cab so; why not use a stick of square tubing
to mount you strobe to and fix it so you can
raise it and use a pin to hold it up above the
cab and pull pin to lower it???

Perhaps you can get an idea from the above.
attach a clamp to the square tubing attach a
pipe clamp drill holes use a pipe to raise or lower the
strobe, use pins to hold in place weld flat piece of metal to top of pipe mount your strobe lower it when entering shed.

Willy,
Thanks, I like it, but you know I will forget one day and tear stuff up.
I’d rather mount it and forget about it.

Why round, aesthetics?
How about a 6" square and cut the corners off making an octagon?
A thick piece of metal caulked to the roof will attract a magnet with much more force that a thin piece of metal.

I want to cover the bolt holes in the roof bucket. It’s 7” across.

TractorTYMe has it right!

Use 3M VHB double sided tape, just make sure all surfaces are clean. Put the strobe exactly where you want it, because you’ll never get it off!!

I always say ”3M VHB Sticks like Sh*t to a Blanket”.

Cheers,
BN

@Hay Dude I do 3d printing and design, if you really want something that's clean, we can make your something for a fee, if its important to you, it would be plastic, not sure if it would help
