here's what I see.
it's still a studs n nuts machine.. thus early build... DOES have a tapped and plugged port/boss for a temp sensor.. and DOES have a blanked off plate, not just a boss, for a fuel pump.
these engines were used in early jeeps.. air comps.. milkers.. water pumps.. gensets.. etc. lotsa industrial applications... the fuel pump blank nd temp gauge plugged port bends me in that direction...
4013 is a left axle housing number.. and 4012 right.. is that 4013# you say on the left by any chance?
