identify this part

a customer brought this part thinking it may have come out of his 2520 jd
tractor.
it vaguely looks familiar but we can't place it. it may have nothing to do
with his tractor.

it has fairly coarse threads, slotted at one end and a tapered head,
looks like something to either adjust or open/close something with like
a jet on a carb or something.


any thoughts?

Don't know what it is from, but the threads are similar to the screw in a hose clamp.

Or a kitchen sink rim hold down clamp.
