I recently purchased a New Holland Workmaster 25. The RPM gauge wasn't working, so a tech from the dealer came to look at it. He was trying to adjust the air gap, and did something that caused the tractor not to start. It turns over, but won't start. He ordered a new sensor, but called me this morning, and told me it would be the end of May before they can get one. I asked for the part number thinking I can order one from a 3rd party. The part# he gave me is "MT40526272. Messicks describes it has a pressure sensor, and it looks nothing like the flywheel sensor. It also has 3 wires on the pigtail, instead of two the original sensor has. I called him back, and explained the discrepancy, but insists it's the right part.
Does anyone on this forum have a parts list that can look it up, and compare the part numbers?
Is there a way to temporarily bypass the sensor so the tractor runs?
