Sorry to hear of your dismay with a Kubota dealer, it does happen from time to time. I can tell you that Kubota has a dealer organization that is supposed to deal with your questions. If you try a different dealer you might find more information on what you need.

Hi Thomas, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I haven't checked all the pages on their site, so it is indeed possible I haven't been to the page with phone numbers yet.
I don't suspect (yet) that getting the ROPS will be a problem., and the more I play with this rare find, the more I like it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif So at present, I am not sure if I would even let it go for full market value or at all. But if I were to let it go for a fair deal it would be to a fellow TBN'r. You have 1st dibs. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All right guys,
I am in need of a picture or two or at least some confirmation on this. Attached and following are a couple of photos of the seat on the B8200. As you can clearly see it is shot, Big Time. I am usure if this is the original seat or not.

As you can see from this picture, the seat pan has been welded. I can't tell if the welding was done as a repair or as a means of attaching the mounting brackets to a new / differant seat. Can any of you with a B8200 (1982 +/-) post me a photo of your seat so I can decifer this minor dilema ?
It also appears, that the place I purchased the replacement seat for my JD (Sooner Sales) is no longer around, at least I can not locate the on the web. The link I had for them takes me to some unknown site that has nothing to do with tractor seats. So other then Northern Tools, I am looking for a plce for replacement seats. I would actually like to replace it with an original Kubota seat. But I suspect the cost will remove that desire quickly.

Looks like the sliding mechanism is gone.

art,
Nope, the sliding mechanism is still there. You just can't see it. Other then needing a little lubrication it works good.

The replacement seat for the B8200 is a done deal. It happens to be the Very same seat that I bought to replace the one on my Ex. JD. It's not orange and it doesn't say Kubota on it, but it will work great.
Thanks again Thomas. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
