If there are aliens, what will they look like?

Anybody know if there was a trap door in the crows nest or if the lookout climbed over the top?

From what I was reading, there was a trap door at the bottom.

I haven't tried to do the math to calculate the exact distance, but it would vary, based on the height of the buildings on shore, among other things. I do know from personal experience that the shore disappears in less than 100 miles. I'm guessing you guys have a comeback lined up to explain that?

I was just thinking about that. If the Earth was flat, you should sometimes be able use a telescope to see Denver from there, or at least the Rocky Mountains.
