Wish me luck, I just entered a contest for the worst commute in my area.
I know of quite a few people (who don't visit TBN), (I don't know HOW they survive
)
that have a crazier time getting to work than me. It will be interesting to see the winners story.
Part of the package will be a free limo ride to and from your job.

I commute 30 mins a day I think I have two stop signs. I drive up and down hills past some huge dairy farms, blue stone quarries and now a lot of the gas wells. Dodging gas trucks/water trucks and oversized loads is just the name of the game now.
The best part of my commute is that my daughter gets to come with me since her daycare/preschool is on the way. It going to be a much long trip in 2 years when she starts school and I have to commute alone.

22 miles, 35 minutes from Barrington to Exeter, NH.
I took what amounted to a $20K pay cut just to avoid driving into Boston every day, which is how much it would have cost me in gas, insurance, automobile wear and tear, and my own health. In actuality, you'd have to pay me an extra $40K a year to get me to even think about it.

I drive 40 miles one way to school every day through good ol' mountain country roads to school everyday. It can be real sketchy come winter when it dumps 18in. of snow and I'm trying to punch through with my truck. Good part is when it snows that all the pot holes and washboards get filled in. lol

I entered a commute contest. I did not even make the top ten for my area of Northern VA.
The contest is still going on. Weeding it down to top three, now.
One story has a Fire Fighter doing a 234 mile commute from Roanoke, VA to Fairfax, VA.
Did not sound daily, but anything around interstates in these parts is a nightmare.

Around 30-35 minutes each way currently.
