- 2006 JD 3520 w/cab & 300CX loader. 1995 JD 870 w/440 loader & 8b backhoe.JD 455 w/54" mower deck.
3520 w/cab. 51 hours. Here goes! Some of the problems I can see are. Looks like Deere could have used more care in running a lot of the different lines. Heater, hyd and electrical. They seem to cross and touch each other more than I would like. In the long run this is going to cause wear and eventual failure. Then replacement by me.(pita) I've already rerouted a few lines so they are not rubbing against anything. My thoughts are you should not have to make changes on a new machine. Run it, service it and enjoy it!
I also do not care for the location of the exhaust. Blows against the ground stirring up dust.( I guess I'll have to change it to the vertical exhaust) Although I don't like the idea of using a hole saw on the hood.
Brakes also seem to be lacking somewhat. Takes alot of foot effort.
Add a small tool box!
I guess after running a JD 870 for over 10 years its going to take some time to adjust to something totally different. I DO TRULEY LOVE THE CAB!
