If you could what would you change

I like the idea of a separate hour meter!

TOOLBOX, I would like to see a toolbox.

I second the bigger toolbox (MUCH bigger), and make it a sturdier too. Even if someone made an aftermarket version I'd probably go for it. I also need some way to carry things like loppers and other long handled tools. Right now I'm trying to come up with something better than the bungee cords I've been using.

And again I second the brake beeper. I've driven with the parking brake on now a couple of times. :(

I would like a 4 x 4 dash light indicating when it is engaged on my Grand L. I often have it locking in for some time before I realize that I did not shift it back to 2 wheel.

I'd like a 4x4 indicator also.

I'd like a better lock on my top link adjustment (maybe like the slide on the tilt adjuster).
Also need more leverage for the tilt adjuster, maybe a fold out lever.

For the L30 series:
Toolbox, a big one
Chain storage on loader
Lynch pin holders on the 3 point hitch arms like old tractors
Fuel filler more accessible. When loader is on it is impossible to fill without splashing diesel
Side panels of engine that are less finicky. Pain to get them by the loader valve.
More head room (I know the L40 addressed this)
Better wiper coverage of front window
More travel in the suspension seat
T handles on top of 3 point sway brace pins
Roll up sun visor like my other tractor. Near impossible to drive down the road near sunset.
3 ph controls at rear for hooking up implements.

I still think it is a fantastic tractor! To smooth out things with pedal haters, maybe they should have dealer configurable pedals?

Some indication that the brake is set (light or beeper) so I don't drive away with the brake set.

+1 on the brake set light on the B3200.. I don't set the brake that hard since I'm mostly on flat ground and have driven away a few times with the brake still on. Can't be a good thing. Now I use the 2-B's sequence every time I get off the backhoe and back on the tractor.. Belt (seatbelt) and Brake. Works but I've still forgotten a couple times.

Some indication that the brake is set (light or beeper) so I don't drive away with the brake set. Also the tilt steering wheel lock lever (on B3030) mounted a little higher up so I don't unintentionally hit it with my foot during operation.
A brake that would hold when set and had to be released to allow the tractor to move would help .
A park and netural position on the hst just like cars and trucks have is sorely need .
The way they function now is an accident waiting to happen.

I'd like some kind of storage for tools and a place to carry yard tools like a shovel and rake. (with or without the FEL and back hoe).

I really don't like removing and replacing the MMM. It seems like the drive over feature would help. I wonder if JD has a patent on it.
Neither do I.
So I just leave the MMMs on these 2

L2800/3400 - A more robust PTO engagement mechanism. Drop the flimsy cable and give me a solid linkage.

I would like to see the fuel tank moved to behind the seat. It is a pain holding the 5 gal. container and trying not to slop fuel all over the hood. It is even worse when the loader is on. My old Case I.H. had the tank behind the seat and the fueling went much better.

Pretty much everything that everone has said would be nice.

One I'll add that I don't think has been mentioned yet is better protection of important hydraulic stuff under the tractor. Like hoses and filter housing, etc. It has been the only thing to cost me money owning my 3400. I picked up a stick with the back tire and it came around and broke a hose fitting.

My dads JD 2040 is the same way. We have had to leave it parked out in a field before and go after hoses and fittings a couple of times due to brush snagging a line.

Here are some pics of a skid plate I made after the incident. I will also add that the gas pedal linkage is unprotected as well, and on occasion I have had a small twig get stuck not let the gas pedal release, leaving it running WOT.
