Those vents are available on Amazon as well as E-Bay.

You can take your air blow gun, and blow into the 1/2 inch hole and let the shavings come out of the large hole ....

I'm thinking that's what the people who mandated these new gas cans can go do with themselves.

Here's the easy fix to make the new can just like the old cans . You can buy the spout kits at tractor supply .

This is a bump ... Tractor Supply has these replacement spouts. I threw away several old plastic cans only because the old spouts were trashed. For $10 each, less than e-bay, Amazon or direct.

I have found the easiest way is with a jiggle to start siphon hose. The no-spill looks like the best of the new crop of crappy fillers although having to hold the gas can inverted while keeping one's finger pressed to the button seems like it may get somewhat annoying. Also, the filler spout looks awfully short and the user adding an extension would probably override the auto-shutoff function. It would be better if the button could be turned so that it remains "open" while filling and the filler hose was several inches longer.

The No-Spill fuel containers work very well indeed; I have both the small and large (1シ & 5 gal) which are ideal for the exposed or flush vertical filler necks on my lawn tractor, chain saw and trimmer. Although it would function well on my Kubota B3030 compact tractor the capacity is inadequate so I use a 55 gallon drum mounted on a wall above tractor filler level and refilled by a mobile fuel service. For non vertical or recessed fillers as on cars No-Spill makes a flexible extension.

Holding the full 5 gallon can is easy with the extra side handle (on top when tipped) and the valve can be operated with the other hand. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it ;).
