What are the symptons/signs of a fuel lift pump getting weak or wore out? My tractor wants to cut out and sputter and eventually die when I put it under a load such as plowing, bushhogging, etc. I have replaced the fuel filter and rubber fuel lines and made sure that the metal lines were tight and not leaking. Everytime it dies I pull the filter and find that it is about half empty. I spoke with an older gentleman yesterday that rebuilds pumps and he told me that it sounded like the lift pump couldnt put out enough when the tractor is working hard. I explained to him that the pump is NLA through Case and he suggested installing an electric fuel pump instead of trying to find the parts to rebuild the factory one as it would be a lot less expensive for me. Any thought or suggestions before I run out and rebuild/replace my lift pump. Thank you, Terry.
