WOW.

Great job, excited to see your end results.

Maybe you mentioned, but are you building this for your own pleasure? Or do you have a nephew or something you need to train up? Really impressive.

Thanks, not a lot of people interested in model building but mine are all drilled and welded metal so it is a little more interesting . Once the models are primed and painted they look plastic or wood same as any other model. Seeing the bare metal rough fabricating look helps people see the process. I have never built 5 models all at once before so this has been new and exciting jumping back and forth to the different stages of all the models. Next week I should cut out the first body pieces for model number 5. Very fun hobby.

Do you ever part with them? I feel like you could make it a profitable hobby, not sure if that would ruin it for you though. Either way, keep posting!

Yes, most of the models end up with collectors. My excitement is seeing if I can build each one from very little information. Even my garden tractors and other projects I have the most fun during the building process. Once they are done I enjoy them but not as much as the building. Everyday I look forward to spending at least a hour out in my little shop puttering. One hour usually gets me going and the second hour comes around before I know it. I feel very Blessed to have a hobby where I enjoy puttering all these years . Here are the last two pics of the dump truck. Tomorrow I will build the last few parts and set this model aside. I will get going on the fifth model this week and use up another four tires and rims. Once I go back and do the finishing of the models I'll share that stage with everyone. They will look much nicer at that point. box 5.JPGbox 6.JPG

Have you weight it yet? I wish my tonka trucks were made like that maybe they would still be here. Now you need a loader or a excavator to fill it.:drink:

A straight line is one of the hardest things to draw!!!!

I can draw a straight line as long as there is a ruler around.:D If you look into mechanical drawing process at all which was a prep class for articature and drafting wich I had it will show how to use stensils for circuls and arcs that will let you draw anything halfway decent . :drink:
