Fascinating thread!!!
We have a tub/shower in the guest bath upstairs in our new home. Regarding tubs... one word: grandbabies. It gets used! Would be lost without it.
Wife loves her granite tops and was her #1 favorite surface to choose in building. Surprised to read the discussion on quotes being "less glass"... must be wild! We put in a 'snail shower' (walk-in) in our master bath... no glass to clean; love it.
I remodeled my son's 1922 kitchen three years ago. It was original and had no cabinets at all... just a wall mount sink. Huge job. He wanted glass paneled doors on the upper cabinet for one wall. He went to a local glass company (in the city) with dimensions to get safety glass cut... that was 2 years ago! They tried 3 times to get the proper dimensions before giving up. I went to MY local glass company "I'll get it done!" Ha! Took my guy 2 tries to get 8 pieces made! (1" short the first time) What is going on??? My son calls them all "glassholes" Lol
