It was farmington Valley that I called seem a little pricey there. I remembered thats where you sent me a few months ago.
It was Durham fair I was ignored by mid state tractor. I have a dealer closer in colchester but I think he may be pricey too.
Perhaps I will have to go way out to get a deal maybe NH or down south.
I included the lift because steve said I should so maybe I could drop that to save a few bucks.
I need this to be in the 13000 area, to make this work. I know I can get a BX2350 for that money maybe a little less.
Before I hung up I asked him if thats his best price and he said yes.

That's right; the noggin doesn't always work like it should. NH dealers from what has been posted here are known to be straight list, so even with the 0 sales tax, you still do better in CT. Mass or NY may be a possibility; though I don't know who to recommend.

I would still skip the independant lift. Just can't see the reasoning for it.

I'll assume 'Steve' is a dealer and suspect that he was just trying to sell more stuff. The independant lift is useless unless you are miles from home and cannot drop off a 3pth implement before mowing with the MMM. Anything short of that and you're simply wasting a couple of loader ports. Also, they tend to bleed down from what I understand. The standard mechanical link can be locked up with or without the deck installed. Put that money towards a bigger deck!

The only reason I don't consider the massey is not much dealer support here. If the dealer here goes, there is nobody else close by. And besides the one dealer that is here wants more for that than deere or kubota. They seem like a nice little tractor, but resale wouldn't be like Deere or Kubota

Maybe the price would be better if you were at the dealership and not on the phone??

The only downside I see with the JD is pricing only offering a 9% discount on the package

I think thats a little stiff. for 1800.00 more I can buy a BX24 and have a BH too.

$I800 for a BH is stealing it.
Get the BX24.
It's a no brainer - there's nothing to decide.

I'll clarify the independant lift issues, as I actually have one on my 2305. Mind you it came packaged on my tractor along with cruise control...I bought a demo.
1. the independant lift will bleed down, however, it can be locked up with the height adjustment knob.
2. if you intend on the fel, the independant lift does use the number 1 port, you can't use the fel and the mmm at the same time.
3. if you don't intend on a fel, then reconsider that thought. a tractor without a fel is like a handle without a shovel.

no, you just don't have the bucket roll back as the number 1 port is the regen port.

They charge 120.00 for tractor setup,120.00 mower setup,120.00 for fel setup, 150.00 freight, independent lift is about 580.00= 940.00
I hope if I go to wendy's today I don't get charged for the ketchup for my fries.

ouch! they are trying to rape you, the independant lift should only price at $385 or so. I'd find a different dealer
