Nice rig. And shipped all the way from my home province :D. I was curious about the cab, all i could find on machinery trader were the open station models.

Is there a 3 pt hitch or PTO option?

Does the backhoe fold up against the back of the tractor to reduce the tail swing when not in use? From your pics it looks like it doesent. The euro Midi has it. Alot of north american models (and most european models) sold in europe have that feature, and i think it would be VERY handy here as well. Im curious if its an option or just unavailable in north america? I also like the Euro vertical Stabs. They could be handy when working in tight locations where you dont have room for NA style "arching" stabilizers.

sorry, I have no idea. I presume you mean the base model, which is what every other one seems to be. I made a deal on this one and it was 75k Canadian, delivered. I guess that is about 63-64US. We get raped up here for machinery. That seems high, but a new full size with similar equipment would be 110-120K

The 3 pt hitch and PTO are there, in behind the hoe. The backhoe is a conventional center pivot, which is what I'm used to and the only way I would go. I'm not sure if you can get the sideshift with vertical stabilizers here, but they are nice though, with pilot controls and joysticks.

I'm kind of surprised that someone would say, stay away from JCB. Here in New England they are very popular,, Only thing I am aware of and ran many an hour on various JCB hoe's is the hydraulic line connections are a one off "English" thread pattern. They are not American standard or metric thread and if needing replacement, could be costly, Basic maintenance is just that... Buying new, they have a plastic luggage kit that contains 3 of every hydraulic fitting... Maybe JCB isn't giving out the kit anymore, I don't know as I don't keep up with them like I use to.. As far as resale, at least in this neck of the woods they hold their own just like any other major brand.

From what I've seen and heard, JCB is really on the cutting edge of new features and technology with their equipment. On paper, they really are quite impressive. Unfortunately, their dealers are spread out and the only two in the area are 2 hour drives away. I've been told, but don't know this for a fact, but their hoses are propriatory and you cannot have new hoses made up anywhere but from the dealer.

It's sure a nice looking machine and a good size for moving around from job to job.

Congrats,
Eddie

Their hydraukic connections are proprietory,,, Their own English thread... Here in New England there are a handful, maybe less than a handful of hydraulic repair shops that have the English equipment and can fix you up. For the most part, you are correct by having to go to the dealer.
