IMatch and PHD

I have a 2305 w/ an imatch, and a shiny new leinbach post hole digger. I searched a bit and see people agreeing on two things:

1. No PHD will work w/ imatch.
2. Pat's easy change will work w/ PHDs.

Went to Pat's site, watched the videos, and it looks like it would work w/ a PHD, but that you'd have to get off of the tractor and fuss w/ the top link pin. Is that true?

And if the top link attachment on the PHD is modified to work w/ an IMatch, why wouldn't that do the trick? I've got a welder...

A PHD is not designed to work with the i-match it has to be mounted directly to the top link. Plus you would be moving the top link farther away from the tractor if you mounted it to an i-match and the pto shaft would probably not be long enough. Just my 2 cents.

I have Pats and just mounted a PHD for some sono tube holes. Works fine .
The PHD has to go right into the tractor 3 point top holes. No top link.
The PHD has always been very difficult to mount until I hung it from the chain falls in my barn.
Works fine as far as on the tractor and turning and giung up and down. Have not bored the holes yet. Next Tues. Will try to take pictures.

Diz,
A post hole digger and a gin pole by design won't work with the I Match. Some others, small subsoiler, middle buster won't either but considering how small these implements are they are easy to hookup anyway. Of the 13 implements I have 4 are not I Match so the vast majority of the time I Match is useful especially hooking up by myself.

Look to the bright side at least you don't have to dig them by hand.
