I have a 2007 MX6 cutter. My issue is the top link connection on cutter to the iMatch Q.Hitch?

As u can see in photo the top link connection bushing on the MX6 slides back and in not in vertical alignment w the 2 bottom bushing lift arm connections on the MX6.

i have to manually pull the top link bushing forward to hook up the imatch.. let it go and it just falls back outta position?
any clue on how to keep the top link bushing on the MX6 FORWARD for easy vertical hook up w imatch??? tx n advance

I just pull the top pin on the iMatch back a bit, and flip one of the link straps over that pin, and put the latch pin back.

Furthermore, I have chains in place of the 1" bar straps to support the rear of the deck. The chains connect to the other link strap. Pic attached.
They only need to work in tension, and the bar straps will bend if put under compression... as I recall.

This is a floating hitch, and it must float to allow use with a quick hitch, w/out a floating hitch you would have to use chains for the rear arms as stated here. Maybe play with where you locate it when not in use so that there is some forward gravity to keep the linkage from flopping back.

My brush hog is the same as yours, looks like your missing some bars that go from the top of the hitch, to the deck.

The hitch looks complete to me, my understanding of the OP's problem is that the linkage is sloppy enough that it will not stay vertical long enough for him to get his quick hitch under it. Thus eliminating one of the main reason for having a quick hitch. They could also just see if the linkage could be tightened up a bit so that it will stay in place to allow hook up but not so tight that it can still move when they come up out of a draw. Or a bungee cord....imao

yes.... i'm leaning bungee cord or ratchet strap for hook up to get that top link forward...

Being as I have to get off the tractor to hook up the PTO to the rotary cutter, it is a simple step to secure one of the two link straps at the same time. The other link strap stays hooked to the chain that replaces the long bar straps that hold the rear of the deck.

Early on, I tried to rig up an alternative fix so that link connection would stay on the top iMatch hook, but to no avail.
Wish you luck with the bungee cord or ratchet, and hope you post the results.

This is your easiest thing to try, just snug up the bolts were everything pivots enough to hold the hitch in place while hooking and unhooking.
